While many Americans are shocked at this unmitigated shredding of the U.S. Constitution, the powers that be have been waging war on American citizens almost from the beginning of the republic. This article is the first in a series that traces the demise of civil liberties in the United States, as Aaron Russo's film names it, "from freedom to fascism."
