A scheduled lecture by "From
The Wilderness" Publisher/Editor Michael
C. Ruppert at the University of Georgia at Athens
has been cancelled due to funding problems encountered
by the student group sponsoring the event.
Spokespersons for The Sierra
Student Coalition today stated that because of
previous errors in the purchase of plane tickets
and insufficient funds to rent the lecture hall,
they were unable to continue sponsorship of the
event.
Ruppert will continue his
lecture series with a private event in Queens,
NY on April 27th and a public event in Montclair
New Jersey on April 28th. Please watch the FTW
web site at www.copvcia.com for additional details.

|
WASHINGTON,
D.C. MARCH
PLEASE go to the
March on Washington to Stop the War, early this
Saturday Oct. 26th, and MEET US at the corner
of 21st St. & Constitution Ave, NW (the beginning
and ending site of the March) at 9:30 am SHARP,
TO LEAFLET MARCHERS ON THE NEED TO GET INVOLVED
IN THE 9-11 ISSUE. The March begins at 11 am near
the Vietnam War Memorial.
We'll have a quarter of a million flyers to get
out so bring your friends. Congresswoman McKinney
will speak on the 9-11 issue later from the podium
as well.
URGE YOUR FRIENDS TO COME AND HELP, SPREAD THE
WORD!! THIS SATURDAY, 9:30 AM at the corner of
21st St. & Constitution Ave, NW
[You'll see us standing next to stacks of boxes
full of flyers, books, and videos.]
The info below tells you how to get there off
the metro rail. However, if you go to http://internationalanswer.org
and click "DC Protest Details" it will
tell you about parking and many other things (if
you need to park, you'll want to get there a bit
earlier). The March will begin and end at the
Constitution Gardens near the Vietnam Memorial
and will start at 11am. The March route will take
us to the White House and then back to the Gardens.
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION IN DC
The closest metro station to 21st St. and Constitution
Ave. NW (Constitution Gardens adjacent to the
Vietnam Veterans War Memorial) is the Foggy Bottom-GWU
stop on the blue/orange line.
From there, it is a 3/4 mile walk to the site
(walk south on 23rd St., then turn left on Constitution
Ave. and walk two blocks to 21st St.). To avoid
this walk, take the L1, N3 or H1 bus from the
Foggy Bottom metro station 21st St. and C St.
NW, then walk south one block to Constitution
Ave(remember to get a transfer before you leave
the metro station so you don't have to pay to
get on the bus!!!).
Volunteers will be stationed at the Foggy Bottom
metro station to help direct people to the site.
They will be able to provide walking directions
or let you know how to take the bus.
Thank you.
